5 SECOND REPLIES #26
Does limerence ever go away?
Limerence depends on hope and uncertainty, and it thrives on mixed signals, distance and fantasy. When contact ends, or reality becomes clear, it gradually loses its fuel. For most people it fades over months, faster with no contact and slower if you keep checking in. It can feel permanent while you're in it, but it rarely is.
