5 SECOND REPLIES #28

Why do I need so much reassurance?

Reassurance should settle the worry, and it does, briefly. But the anxious part of you is checking for danger rather than asking a question that can be answered once, so it keeps checking. The longer-term fix is learning to settle yourself first, so you ask for reassurance because you want it rather than because you can't function without it. That's something you can practise, and it gets easier.
