5 SECOND REPLIES #21
Why do I still love someone who hurt me?
Love builds up through shared history, habits and hope, and it doesn't vanish the moment someone treats you badly. You can love someone and know they're bad for you at the same time, and holding both is simply how attachment works. The feeling fades faster when you stop arguing with it and put your energy into what you do instead, which is protecting yourself from more of the same.
